S-cripture:

James 3:13

Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.

O-bservation:

The Apostle James gives the action steps that verify an individual to be a wise and understanding. He said that person shows the world they live a good life, marked by deeds done in humility that is a result of the wisdom they possess.

A-pplication:

No one I know is desiring to glean wisdom and understanding from a Solomon-type sitting on a throne somewhere with a line of adoring constituents waiting for advice. No! What folks are looking for is the man or woman who walks wisdom and understanding out in their daily routine. They function with deeds done for others, surrounded in humility. I take that to mean the “wise with understanding” person isn’t seeking attention or acclaim. James is saying to all of us today, let the world see “Your GOOD Life!”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

Thank You this AM that You showed the world “Your GOOD Life.” Help me quietly do the same. Amen
