S-cripture:

Romans 1:32

Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

O-bservation:

Here St Paul finished an amazing treatise against the sinful nature of man. Earlier on, he railed against men and women who had exchanged the truth of God for a lie. That choice had propelled them into such sins that should be called diabolical. But today, my own country is so overwhelmed with debauchery of every kind that now takes up time on “The Evening News,” talking about the need to question the gender of children in kindergarten!! It leads me to ask the question, “What’s Wrong With Us?”

A-pplication:

When any of us willingly go against what we know to be true, in time, we will argue for the wrong even when we know it’s wrong. It’s just human nature. But how much longer will God have mercy on this wretched nation that we have become! I now hear preachers spending their time in the pulpits accusing one political party against the other and yet failing to call sin out, in their own congregations! The Bible says that judgment must begin in the house of the Lord. (1 Peter 4:17) The real question is not what’s wrong with them. Instead, it should be, “What’s Wrong With Us?” How can the nation shed its evil ways when the church has failed to do the same? It’s time for us to choose righteousness over hipness before losing out altogether. Are you ready to take a spiritual EKG with me today?

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

I’m desperate for you this AM. I see stuff, and I’m weeping over it. Oh, Jesus, I’m asking, “What’s Wrong With Us?” Help me, first Lord. Cleanse me, first Lord. Try me search me reveal to me my sin! I want to go your way and not my way! Amen
