Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Ezekiel 12:22
Son of man, what is this proverb you have in the land of Israel: ‘The days go by and every vision comes to nothing?’
O-bservation:
The Lord asked Ezekiel, “What is ‘This Evil Proverb,’ I hear from the people of Israel which says over and over, ‘We keep hearing visions and they never come to pass?” God told Ezekiel, “I’m going to put an end to ‘This Evil Proverb,’ and the people of Israel will no longer quote it because every vision is about to come to pass.”
A-pplication:
I would like to bring this Old Testament event into modern-day light. How many of you listening to me right now have heard people say, “We keep hearing about the coming of the Lord. We keep hearing prophecy teachers and preachers warning us of sudden destruction, but nothing has happened?” Have you ever heard something like that before? Perhaps you have even had those thoughts or said it out loud yourself. Could it be that we’ve developed “This Evil Proverb” again? That’s right! We might be guilty as a people living in these contemporary times of “This Evil Proverb,” which says, “Where is the coming of the Lord?” I believe that as in the days of old when the Lord said to Ezekiel, “I’m about to put an end to, ‘This Evil Proverb,’ and he did, he’s about to say it again. My friend, today, never doubt the soon coming of our Lord again. It’s about to happen. I believe it!
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
I will never doubt your soon return. “This Evil Proverb” that is alive and well today will never be uttered from my lips. Help my friend and me today to be watching and waiting for your imminent return. Amen
