Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come; The old has gone, the new is here!

O-bservation:

In this chapter, Paul, the Apostle, elaborates on the victory all of us have that are in Christ Jesus. He said, “If any man or woman is in Christ, they are a NEW creation. He then said, “The old has gone, ‘The NEW Is Here!”

A-pplication:

I’m fast approaching my seventh decade as I write. I say that because I never cease to appreciate something that is NEW! Whether it’s a new paint job on an old house, or a new car, or a new suit, or a new haircut, or a new hair transplant, I always like the NEW! But here, the great Apostle reminds us that there is nothing quite as wonderful as a brand new life in Christ Jesus. That’s right! Paul had known religion, and religion had failed him. When he accepted Christ as his Lord and Messiah, he became a brand new creation. He couldn’t get enough of the new. He sang about Jesus. He preached about Jesus. He taught about Jesus. He performed miracles for Jesus. He had a second job for Jesus. He ended up dying for Jesus. St Paul’s entire second half of life was all about preaching, “The NEW Is Here!” So let me repeat it, “The NEW Is Here!”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

Thank You for coming to this old earth to make everything NEW. I’m so grateful that I don’t have to live a life full of boredom with a lack of purpose. Because of You, Jesus, I have a brand NEW life every day, all day! Amen
