Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
2 Peter 1:4
Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.
O-bservation:
Earlier, St. Peter talked about the gift of God’s power, glory, and goodness. The Apostle said He has given us precious promises so that we can become partakers of the Divine nature of God.
A-pplication:
Many years ago, as a younger man, I was meditating on this word, nature. I asked the Lord for a clearer understanding of this verse. I felt the Lord speak to me and remind me that the word nature is a contraction of the word natural. When I read it again, I had a fresh view of the scripture. God has so blessed us that we are now partakers of “The Divine Natural.” In other words, there comes a tipping point in our walk with Christ; for years, it was natural to live on the dark side, but now it’s natural to live for Jesus. I can remember there came a point in my Christian walk when it was just natural because I had become a partaker of “The Divine Natural.”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
I’m thrilled today to live in service to You, my Lord and Savior. It’s just Natural. Amen
