The Attitude Of Your Mind

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Ephesians 4:23
To be made new in the attitude of your mind.

O-bservation:

St. Paul spoke straight forward to the young church at Ephesus. He told them that they were reverting back to the old ways of the Gentiles. He said that’s not the way we taught you to begin with. We taught you not to think the old Gentile way of thinking that included sensuality and every kind of impurity. Instead, Paul told them that they were to be renewed in “The Attitude Of Your Mind.”

A-pplication:

I’ve always believed that before words and actions can change, the mind must change. The way one thinks must change. The way one processes new information must change. Once a person becomes a follower of Jesus, they must prepare for a battle in their mind because everything we say or do begins in mind. Prior to knowing Jesus all of us are afflicted with as I’ve spoken on before here in this post, “Stinking Thinking!” When St Paul said in Phil 2:5, “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.” He was in effect saying, “You can change your thinking!” You don’t have to think this way. Because if your thought processes don’t change, it doesn’t matter what you pledged to Jesus at the altar. The “stinking thinking,” must leave just so you can have some degree of peace in your home. It all begins with “The Attitude Of Your Mind.” If you’re wondering how to operate like Jesus “In The Attitude Of Your Mind,” read through Matthew Chapters 5, 6, & 7. Once you do, you’ll begin to change “The Attitude Of Your Mind.”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

This AM, I want to thank you for always helping me with the attitude of my mind. Your word says, “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he. Help me to cease from negativity and doubt to real faith, hope, and love. Amen
