Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
John 6:15
Jesus, knowing that they intended to come out and make him king by force, withdrew again to a mountain by himself.
O-bservation:
After Jesus fed the five thousand with twelve baskets of leftover food His disciples had gathered, people began to say, “Surely this is the Prophet who is to come into the world.” At that point, He knew they would forcibly try and make Him king, so He withdrew to a mountain by Himself. He determined that someone else’s plan for Him would not deter Him from what He had come to do on the earth.
A-pplication:
Do you ever feel like you are going through life based on someone else’s agenda for you? Early in my ministry, I knew I had a call from the Lord. Yet, I felt like all I was doing was following other people’s plans for me. So, with God’s help, I yielded my life to three different leaders I served. With each of those leaders, I was able and willing to serve their agenda for me. I learned many things that I have used for these many years since. However, there came the point where I had to move on with Jesus as my coach. You see, I learned early on that God’s plan for me was different than any man or woman’s plan for me. I learned that if I’d “Stick With HIS Plan,” I’d accomplish far more for Jesus than if I’d followed anyone else. That’s why it’s important to “Stick With HIS Plan!”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
Thank You for never failing me. Thank You that once I stepped out on my own to follow Your plan for me, You have always been there to coach me, provide for me, and encourage me. What a ride I’ve been living because of You! Amen
