Settle It

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Psalm 100:3
Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people the sheep of his pasture.

O-bservation:

King David had a knack for answering tough questions in a simple and forthright way. Obviously, he was the King of Israel, and no person of brilliance could counter his directives. So here David said that God is God, and he made us, and we are his. We were meant to be followers of our God, just like sheep follow their Sheperd. The line that is the forever lighting rod, is simply, “He (God) made us!” That right there is debated over and over around the world everyday, in classrooms and bars. Here are some reasons to simply “Settle It.”

A-pplication:

Everything along the lines of creation is presented as theory in the hallways of the worlds leading educational institutions. There are many different theories as to how the universe and mankind arrived. But two seem to be embraced by the largest gathering of scientists. The Big Bang Theory and The Inflation Theory. However, the idea of Creationism is looked upon as a slap in the face to leaders in the scientific community as well as the world’s foremost universities. But, for you and me, we should not be discouraged in any way. The scripture tells us that “In the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires.” (2 Peter 3:3), So we were for-warned that this would happen. Even the theories of man have to be accepted by faith in their own ridiculousness. So today, instead of worrying about all the theories as to who made us, just accept it by faith and believe that GOD DID! Just, “Settle It!”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

None of this sounds scholarly, I’m sure, to unbelievers. Yet, for me, it is my wholehearted belief. I’m so grateful that I was able to “Settle It,” as a young man. You made me, and I am yours! I am forever grateful. Amen
