Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Hebrews 10:23
Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.
O-bservation:
The writer reminds every believer who is going through a tough patch in life for the sake of the gospel to hang in there. Hold on to hope. Because Jesus, who has promised us eternal life, is faithful to keep His promise.
A-pplication:
Whenever you sign a contract, you keep your end of the deal, hoping that the other signee will do the same. If you’re like me, you have had others break their written promise before. When it comes to faith and what we believe, it is imperative that we always “Remember Who Made the Promise.” We didn’t cut a deal to inherit eternal life with a company listed on the Dow Jones Stock Exchange, NO, we have believed in Jesus, the creator of the universe. I’ve heard of nearly everyone you can imagine breaking their promise in the times in which we live. Even fathers and mothers break their promise to their children. But when it comes to our hope of eternal life, “Remember Who Made The Promise.” Jesus will never fail.
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
Sometimes it feels like everyone is a Promise Breaker at one point or another. I’m thankful that I’m not dealing with them today. I’ll always remember it was You, who promised me. Amen
