Please! Never Complain Of Offerings In Church Again!

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Numbers 28:2

“Give this command to the Israelites and say to them: ‘Make sure that you present to me at the appointed time my food offerings, as an aroma pleasing to me.’”

O-bservation:

These are the words of God to Moses. He instructed Moses in a series of offerings He wanted the Israelites to regularly and faithfully give. The word offering is mentioned over 35 and maybe 40 times in 32 verses in this chapter. I say maybe 40 because I read it and counted it so many times my eyes grew blurry. Now, these weren’t all the offerings the Israelites had to give, but these were definitely some of them. When I read this chapter, I always want to say to all of my Jesus Follower friends out there: “Please! Never Complain Of Offerings In Church Again.”

A-pplication:

I know the people of Israel were a complaining bunch of people. But oddly enough, in comparison to the number of offerings they were supposed to give by law, they certainly did not complain anywhere near as much. In fact, even today, the Jewish people, by and large, are perhaps the most generous in the world. And, of course, you can see how God has blessed them. I’m encouraging you today to be more generous than you’ve ever been before. I promise from personal experience you will only be blessed.

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

This AM, I’m so blessed to be able to give to the work of Your Kingdom. I’ve only known Your blessing through the years. Thank You for being a good, good Father. Amen
