Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Romans 4:13

It was not through the law that Abraham and his offspring received the promise that he would be heir of the world, but through the righteousness that comes by faith.

O-bservation:

When God promised Abraham that he would become the heir of the world, Abraham didn’t accomplish it through work ethic or law-abiding. No! It was “Only Through Faith.” When Abraham believed for a promised son, he moved forward by faith, and God blessed him with a son at one hundred years of age!

A-pplication:

Now don’t get me wrong, it will require work to see any of our dreams accomplished. But it’s not the work that drives us; it’s the faith. What I mean by this is the Lord will give us a dream, and that dream is received by faith that it’s for me! Once our faith has locked the dream into our heads and hearts, the work begins. But attributing the result to work would be wrong because it’s “Only Through Faith” that the work happens, and the dream becomes a reality. Think about it. Doesn’t your work begin with faith? Doesn’t your daily bread and the roof over your head come by way of faith? Your children’s health and safety are also accomplished through faith; otherwise, you wouldn’t pray for them as you do. Remember, my friend, it’s “Only Through Faith” that our life moves forward, trusting and believing in our precious Lord and Savior Jesus.

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

Help me, this AM, I pray, to get my eyes off my accomplishments and onto the FAITH that You gave me that helped me get the work done. Thank You for FAITH. This Faith You gave me helps me please You. Amen
