Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Philippians 1:27a

Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ.

O-bservation:

St. Paul was writing from prison. He knew the church at Philippi had suffered as well for Jesus’ sake. That’s why he said to them, “No Matter What” live in a way that brings honor to Jesus Christ.

A-pplication:

If you’re like me, there have probably been times in your life when someone claimed to be a “Follower of Jesus,” however, based upon the way they lived and the things they said you tried to steer clear of them.  That’s exactly what the Apostle was cautioning all believers for all time to be concerned about. Paul said, “Whatever Happens.” That’s the same as “No Matter What!” It was said with emphasis. My question is, what hope do we have as Jesus People if our life in no way matches what we’re preaching? The world is looking for men and women who are true to their Christian witness. Nothing has changed in over 2,000 years. So with the Apostle Paul I will say it again, “No Matter What,” live in a way that brings glory to Jesus Christ.

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

I call upon Your name again this AM to help me practice what I preach. “No Matter What!” Amen
