S-cripture:
1 Timothy 2:8
Therefore I want the men everywhere to pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or disputing.
O-bservation:
Paul instructed his young understudy, Timothy, on how he wanted the work of God to go on everywhere. He said he wanted men to “Keep Praying” wherever Christianity began and flourished. He wanted them to pray with hands lifted, and he said that praying would help transcend any disputes they may have.
A-pplication:
This passage of scripture reminds us that the driving force of world evangelization is PRAYER. Prayer is an activity of the heart and mind that operates in faith, believing in God Almighty in spite of the fact that we will never see Him on this side of heaven. It is that kind of faith that moves the heart of God so that in a moment when the prayer of faith is fully engaged, God will dispatch His unseen force of heavenly angels to make a victory happen. It’s mysterious and unexplainable to the unbeliever until they accept Jesus and experience it for themselves. That’s why Paul said, “Keep Praying!”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
I will never cease to pray and keep my attention on You. My prayer is always, “What will You have me to do, my Lord.?” Amen
