Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Colossians 2:9
For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form.
O-bservation:
As I read this passage this AM, I immediately thought, “Jesus, Our Everything!” St. Paul said that all of the Deity dwells in one bodily form in Christ. In other words, all of the Father and all of the Holy Spirit dwell within all of Jesus. With that in mind, you must ask yourself the question, “What or who else but Jesus do I need?
A-pplication:
Think about it. God is all-knowing. Remember when Jesus met the woman at the well? He told her that she had been married five times and the man she was living with now was not her husband. How could He know that? The all-knowing God the Father indwelled Him. Remember when Jesus said, “I will always be with you to the very end of the age?” How could He make that promise? Because the Holy Spirit is our Paraclete. He walks next to us and is always with us. The Holy Spirit was indwelling Jesus when Jesus made the statement. Yes, there are three very definite distinctions of our great God. There is God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. But all indwell the bodily form of Jesus. So today, we are blessed to say, “Jesus, Our Everything!”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
Thank You that I don’t have to pray to a stone or piece of wood, but I can and will pray to You and You alone. Everything I need is found in You. Amen
