Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Acts 3:6
Then Peter said, silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have, I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.
O-bservation:
This, of course, is the famous story of Peter and John one day walking up to the temple at the gate called ‘Beautiful’ to pray. As they approached the gate, a man crippled from birth begged money from them. Peter said to him, “I don’t have any silver or gold, but what I’ve got is all you need.” At that moment, Peter commanded him, in Jesus’ name to get up and walk. And, he got up and walked, the scripture tells us.
A-pplication:
Of course, I have paraphrased the words of Peter here, but the truth is when Peter healed the man in Jesus’ name, that’s really all the man needed. When you’ve been lame since birth, and now you can walk, you have received a complete NEW LIFE! He was no longer the lame man; he was the miracle man. Public perception changed concerning him. What people were unwilling to engage him in before was now water under the bridge. The question is, what is it that you need today? I ask that because “Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever!” (Heb. 13:8) What he did for the lame man at the gate Beautiful over two thousand years ago, he can do for you today. So whatever it is you’re in need of right now, “Jesus Has All You Will Ever Need.”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
I’m thankful this AM that you have ALL I will ever need. Because you’ve done it before, I know you will do it again. With your help, I will always call on you first whenever I’m in need. Amen
