S-cripture:

Psalm 89:11

The heavens are yours, and yours also the earth; you founded the world and all that is in it.

O-bservation:

The Psalmist tells us, “It’s ALL God’s.” He reports that the vast universe is God’s, but to make it more relatable to us small humans, he says that the earth is also the Lord’s. God, in fact, originated everything you and I call earth. In other words, “It’s ALL God’s!”

A-pplication:

King David said in prayer to the Lord, “what is man that you are mindful of him?” The very fact that God includes us in His planning and creating is beyond our understanding. Somehow, we have the idea that we own certain parts of our little world. Certain men and women in our modern culture believe that somehow, they are so massive in the accomplishments they have achieved that they are necessary on this planet. But let me make it very clear. That’s what good men and women and infamous men and women have thought down through the ages. But they’re all dead now, and you and I are quick to follow. Never for a second get caught up in the belief that we own anything. We’re just passing through, and “It’s ALL God’s!”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

This AM, I’m trembling in my chair as I think about Your greatness and sovereignty. I am blessed that You consider me at all! What I will never forget is simple, “It’s ALL YOURS!” Amen
