S-cripture:

Acts 27:25

So keep up your courage, men, for I have faith in God that it will happen just as he told me.

O-bservation:

These are the words Paul spoke to the people he was on board a ship with; they had been lost at sea for 14 days. An angel of the Lord had appeared to Paul in a dream and told him that everyone on the ship would be saved, even though the ship would be destroyed before reaching shore. Paul told the men to take courage because, “I’m Going To Trust The Lord.”

A-pplication:

The ship ran aground, and as it broke apart everyone jumped off the ship and somehow arrived safely on shore. What is breaking apart in your life today? Better yet, have you had to abort a safe arrival for a sure arrival instead? You may wonder what a sure arrival is. It’s the conclusion to a trip that began but plans were aborted when God stepped in. When God steps into crisis situations, He demands change that may not appear safe but will always end sure. In other words, you may not always look that good when you get there, but you’re going to get there right on time. What must you do to have a sure arrival? Simply go with what Paul decided on and say, “I’m Going To Trust The Lord!”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

I can’t count the many times you’ve brought me safely through the storm on a sure foundation and with a sure arrival in a way I least expected it to happen. That’s what has happened when I’ve said, “I’m Going To Trust The Lord!” Amen
