Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Psalm 48:9

Within your temple, oh God, we meditate on your unfailing love.

O-bservation:

For King David, the temple of God in his day represented mental recall. Every time he entered the house of God, he would remember how much God loved him.

A-pplication:

I’m not sure why it is, but something happens to people who go to church. Perhaps they’ve had a bad week. Maybe something happened to them in their normal way of living that completely threw them off balance. Maybe a relative was discovered to have a terminal illness, or worse yet died. I could discuss a hundred different scenarios, but then they go to church. Once there, stuff begins happening in their soul. Whether the tears come or not an inner solace occurs, because in that moment they remember, like David, how much God loves them. I’m not sure what may be happening in your world this AM, but if you’re in a tough place why not “Just … Go To Church?”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

This AM I’m thinking of Your house. I’ve got such a load of challenges in front of me. I know my real answer is in Your house! I’ll see You there. Amen
