S. O. A. P.
Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Psalm 91:16
With long life, I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.
O-bservation:
This is a very familiar chapter (Psalm 91) in all of David’s writings. He started the chapter with the great promise, “Whoever dwells in the shelter of the most high will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.” The last verse in this chapter is another great promise, “With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.” This truth leaves me with the thought, “If You Begin Right, You Will End Right.”
A-pplication:
You can’t begin a journey headed in the wrong direction and hope to somehow arrive at your chosen location. A ship loses at sea once it loses its navigation. The same is true of aeronautical navigation. If a pilot somehow misses their proper input of the navigation to a certain location, there’s not a chance they will arrive at the location they desired. Why? Because they began the trip incorrectly. Now I know many people in my life who started out in the wrong direction of living. They ended up suffering many pains and sorrows; however, then they encountered Jesus and got back on the right track of living and now have a wonderful life. All of it supports the fact that “If You Begin Right, You Will End Right.”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
This AM, I am so grateful that even though many years ago I was in the wrong course for a successful life, you came and rescued me and got me back on track. Now I know where I’m headed, and I can’t wait to one day see you face to face. Amen
