Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

2 Thessalonians 2:3

Don’t let anyone deceive you in anyway, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to distraction.

O-bservation:

This is indeed a religious rebellion that is being spoken of here. At the time St Paul wrote this letter, many believed he was speaking of a soon-coming political revolt. But whether Paul knew it or not, as he wrote, he was, in fact writing of events that would happen far into the future. Conventional spiritual wisdom says he was speaking of the end times, and the man of lawlessness is the Anti-Christ. But for those who would worry, St Paul said that even before he starts his rebellion, the Anti-Christ is “Doomed To Destruction!”

A-pplication:

It stands to reason that whoever the Anti-Christ is, and even if he’s alive today, certainly he will be a man that is very religious and spiritual appearing. Of course, he will be well-read, and that brings a question to mind. Will he not have read this ancient letter to the church at Thessalonica, and will he not have read that he is already “Doomed To Destruction?” I’m sure the answer to these two questions is YES. But remember, the enemy is so filled with hate and arrogance he will believe that he is capable of not only deceiving the people of God, yet he will actually believe that he can take Jesus down. But my friend, today, be encouraged, this man of lawlessness is “Doomed To Destruction!”

Dear Jesus,

I’m so blessed to be on your side this AM. I read what’s coming in the future, and I laugh at the devil’s desire to supplant the God of the universe. You are worthy of being praised! Amen
