Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Genesis 41:40

You shall be in charge of my palace, and all my people are to submit to your orders. Only with respect to the throne will I be greater than you.

O-bservation:

These are the words of the Pharaoh of Egypt during the days of Joseph, the son of Jacob. The king had been troubled by a dream that no one could interpret, and Joseph, a prisoner in the palace jail, was called from prison and given a chance to interpret the king’s dream. His interpretation made complete sense to the Pharaoh/king, and the king said, “You will be brought from prison to lead the salvation of our nation from certain famine and doom. I will be the only person you will answer to.”

A-pplication:

Surely no one in Egypt thought there was a problem, least of all Joseph the prisoner. Yet the king had received a dream from heaven saying impending destruction was coming. No one knew the whole country was about to die from famine. But God was the orchestrator of all the happenings. He had his servant, Joseph, a Jew, brought into the king’s palace to interpret the heavenly warning and to implement the measures to be taken. During a fourteen-year period, Joseph served the Pharaoh and brought “Healing In The Land.” As I said, no one even knew impending crisis was on the horizon. Joseph saved the nation. What about a nation like ours that most everyone knows is facing serious decisions going forward? You and I must pray as never before that God will raise up people as unlikely as Joseph to help bring “Healing In The Land.”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

This AM, my heart is turned towards our sick nation. Most everyone knows things aren’t right here. But we’ve come to a point that divine intervention is our only hope. Please dear Lord, bring “Healing In The Land!” Amen
