Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Job 23:10
But he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold.
O-bservation:
This is a statement by Job after he had cried to the Lord for the Lord’s whereabouts. What he said here is that “It doesn’t matter whether or not I can locate him, what really matters is that, my God knows the way that I take.” Job knew that after the test he was presently in, that God would find him to be a faithful servant of the Lord.
A-pplication:
Many theologians believe that Job is the oldest book in the Bible. It was not until another 1100 or so years had passed when King David said in Psalm 37:26, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord.” Perhaps David had somehow heard of the great man of the East, Job, and that he had said, “He knows the way that I take!” Either way, the Bible was written through the pens of men but authored by the Holy Spirit. There are times when I feel like my prayers are bouncing off the ceiling and not getting through to the Lord, but that’s the way I feel. That’s not the truth. We don’t have to find God, he’s not lost. The truth is he has found you, and make no mistake about it this AM. “He KNOWS You!” And ….. every step you take!
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
More than anything in the world, I am grateful that “You KNOW ME! Amen
