Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Deuteronomy 11:24a

Every place where you set your foot will be yours

O-bservation:

These are the Lord’s words through the prophet Moses not long before the Children of Israel were to go in and possess the Promised Land. Over and over, God told the people that if they would but only follow His instructions and laws, He would give them “Every Place” their feet stepped.

A-pplication:

Through the years, whenever I’ve read this passage of scripture (and there are many passages like this), I’m reminded that God has always wanted His people to prosper and not want. Like His word says, He wants us as the head—not the tail on top and not the bottom! And here, in this simple promise, God speaks to His people then and His people now, “If you will simply follow My ways and My truth, I will give you Every Place your feet walk.” How many times have you said, “God, why?” only to look back and remember there was a place where you wanted to go your own way. We all love the good times. But there happen to be consequences when we go our own way. Why not just go God’s way today and possess “Every Place” your feet step? I believe it works for every generation of believers.

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

I know I’ve never been wealthy, yet I’ve never felt like You didn’t look out for me. I’ve known that if I followed Your will and way, Your blessings would follow! And today, because of Your grace, I can say “Every Place” is Yours, and because I’m Your child, it’s mine too! Amen
