S-cripture:

Psalm 25:4-5

Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my savior, and my hope is in you all day long.

O-bservation:

When a person like King David, or you or me, serves the all-powerful, all-knowing, all-everywhere God, His ways are past finding out. It appears that David was saying, “Keep showing me Your ways, Lord. Keep teaching me where Your paths are. Keep guiding me in Your truth and just keep teaching me. And I need You to do that All Day Long every day!”

A-pplication:

Seriously, when you think about it, who or what else do you need more than your loving Heavenly Father? When you finally get to that place where you’re willing to say, “I was placed on this earth to learn about and know my God every day, All Day Long, that’s when you begin to live. That’s when life begins to make sense. There came a point in my life after I became a father when I saw how much my boys needed me. I watched them watch me. I watched them try and copy me. And it was somewhere during that time I had the actual thought one day that, hey, that’s what I’ve been trying to do with my Heavenly Father. I want Him to know me, be proud of me, and help me all the time. And I want to be just like HIM! “All Day Long!”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

I’m thankful that You have kept your eye on me. I’m so thankful that it’s taken a while, but I can see progress in my life. That progress has to do with being like You! Amen
