Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee and Samaria enjoyed a time of peace and was strengthened. Living in the fear of the Lord and encouraged by the Holy Spirit, it increased in numbers.
A lot had happened leading up to this special passage of scripture. The church had been birthed, and on that day in Acts 2, three thousand people were added to the church at the end of Peter’s message! Stephen was martyred for his faith. Saul was saved on the road to Damascus and, in time, had his name changed to Paul. He had to be sent away to be schooled of the Holy Spirit. Great persecution had broken out in Jerusalem so that the church was scattered. But here, the Bible tells us that a time of PEACE came upon the church.
Life cannot be lived at breakneck speed twenty-four seven. Neither can continual bad things come upon the people of God for long periods. The Lord knows just how much testing you and I can handle. And because the Lord loves us, “Your Time Of Peace Is Coming!” That’s right! Whatever you have been experiencing to this point is about to end, and “Your Time Of Peace Is Coming!” You can reference 1 Corinthians 10:13 to prove my point. God always keeps His promises, and I know that I can safely say, “You Time Of Peace Is Coming.”
I’m so grateful on this new day that you have your eyes on each of us. You know when we can only keep going because a time of peace becomes our portion. Thank You for caring for me in such a special way. Amen
