Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Deuteronomy 3:22
Do not be afraid of them; the Lord your God himself will fight for you.”
O-bservation:
Through Moses, God let Joshua and the people of Israel know that they would have to fight several kings and countries to take the land the Lord had promised them upon entering the Promised Land. He reassured the Israelites and said, “Don’t be afraid of THEM. The Lord himself will fight for you!”
A-pplication:
If you believe that you can insert your name when you read a story in either the Old or New Testament, here’s a good verse to consider. But first, if you are afraid of THEM, “Who Is Your THEM?” Because whoever it is that is in your path, and you’re afraid of, God is telling you right now, “Don’t be afraid of them because I am with you, and I will fight for you!” And if you recall, God has never lost a battle! “Yes, but Rich, you have no idea what I’m up against!” My response is, “Are they bigger than your God?” Nothing is too difficult for our great God. The scripture says He is ready to save you and rejoice over you! So today, whoever your THEM is, don’t be afraid of THEM! God will fight for you.
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
I am grateful that You have never lost a battle and that You are concerned enough for me that You are ready to fight for me. I will yield to Your promises and trust in You, my Lord! Amen
