Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Psalm 19:14
May these words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.
O-bservation:
This was David’s heart in a nutshell. He knew the words he spoke always came from the thoughts he was thinking. His greatest desire in life was to please the Lord. So before any of us answer the question of what is our greatest desire, we must first ask, “What Am I Saying And What Am I Thinking?”
A-pplication:
Solomon said, “As a man thinketh in his heart so is he.” His father, David, had already set into motion the simple prayer we just read, that Solomon would one day deduce the fact that thoughts become words and actions. If we want our words and our meditations of the heart to be pleasing to the Lord, we must think of better thoughts. One cannot harbor a lustful thought life and produce clean living and speaking. In time, the words and actions of that man or woman will be revealed. So today, if you and I want the Lord to be pleased with us, we must answer the question, “What Am I Saying And What Am I Thinking?”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
I just have one prayer this AM. Please clean me up anew from the inside out! Amen
