They Needed Coaching

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Numbers 4:19

So that they may live and not die when they come near the most holy things, do this for them: Aaron and his sons are to go into the sanctuary and assign to each man his work and what he is to carry.

O-bservation:

Here is the directive from the Lord to the sons of Aaron, who led the ministry of the Levites. This tribe was the tribe of ministry for the other eleven tribes of Israel. The Kohathite tribe was to assist in the moving of the holy articles inside the tent of meeting. It sounds simple, but the challenge was that they would die if they set their eyes on certain holy things. So God spoke to the sons of Aaron and said “Once the Kohathites enter the sanctuary,  you are to give every man a certain job.” The Lord was telling the sons of Aaron that as it related to the Kohathites, “They Needed Coaching.”

A-pplication:

From time to time, everyone needs help. It could be help for a test or instruction for a new job and what it will entail. Perhaps help is given on how to make a bed as required by the US Marines. Nurses are coached on how to suture a wound. What I’m saying is that all of us, at one time or another, need coaching. God told these sons of Aaron, “Show each man what he is to do.” He didn’t say that only certain Kohathites were to be coached, but rather, every man! When everyone is coached on how their job is to be accomplished, it’s good for the whole team. That requires a “Spirit of Excellence.” Everyone is coached up, everyone has a job, and the time you took to coach the people who needed direction, means you will have a 100% response. The job will be completed quickly, and the folks who receive instruction end up feeling accomplishment has happened because they received coaching and finished flawlessly. The truth is, “Everyone Needs Coaching.”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

I’m ready for a coach today. Lead me and guide me and help me find my way. Whatever You say, I will obey. Amen
