S-cripture:

Deuteronomy 18:15

The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your fellow Israelites. You must listen to him.

O-bservation:

These are Moses’ words to the people of Israel. He reminded them that, just like him, God would raise a future prophet of the Lord to lead Israel. “When that happens,” Moses said, “You must follow him.”

A-pplication:

The Lord made this promise thousands of years ago to His people, Israel. Of course, today, we live in the age of grace, which followed the death and resurrection of Jesus and the dawn of the New Testament Church. Of course, many things have changed in modern times. Much learning has come about in these times, including the fields of science and technology and every field of education imaginable. The internet has all but put the world at our fingertips. But one thing remains sure in any language in any country on Earth. “There Will Always Be A Prophet Of God.” Whether that prophet is for a tribe, a nation, or for just one individual, “There Will Always Be A Prophet Of God!”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

Help me, today, to listen to the prophet. And help me, if need be, to be the prophet to those who need the prophet of God. Amen
