Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Proverbs 3:3
Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablets of your heart.

O-bservation:

These are the words of the wiseman Solomon, who made it clear that all of us are to embrace Love and Faithfulness. He said whatever it takes for us to remind ourselves of how important these two qualities are, we must do. This included hanging the words around our necks and embedding the words in our hearts. To Solomon, the key to successful living had to do with, “The POWER of Love and Faithfulness.”

A-pplication:

This verse is so simple to read and so difficult to put into practice. You may ask, “WHY?” Simply put, love and faithfulness go against our lower (sinful) nature. When love and faithfulness should always prevail in our lives, quickly selfishness and fear are lurking at the door. What I mean by that has to do with the fact that if we’re not careful, we can be ruled by that old line, “What’s In It For Me?” But that’s the world’s way, not the Christ Followers’ way. Our first thought should always be LOVE, and our response should always be FAITHFULNESS to the one we say we love. Oh, but wait. There is something in it for YOU and ME. The very next verse says that if we will be loving and faithful in our walk here on earth that we will win favor and a good name with both God and man. When we build a life based on LOVE and FAITHFULNESS, then and only then do we experience “The POWER Of Love And Faithfulness.”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

This AM, I’m grateful that your entire relationship with me is based on the fact that you LOVE me and you are FAITHFUL to me. Because of your love and faithfulness, it’s my desire to love and be faithful to all I meet here on earth. Amen
