Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

John 15:20a
Remember what I told you: “A servant is not greater than his master.”

O-bservation:

Jesus emphatically reminded His disciples of their place, and anyone’s place who serves under someone’s authority.

A-pplication:

Certainly you know someone who just couldn’t wait to be in charge. Instead of quietly waiting their turn, they usurped another’s authority, miserably failed, and perhaps even messed up the organization they were working in. What happened in that case was, “They Got The BIG Head.” The issue we’re dealing with here is an individual thinking he or she is better than he or she actually is. Here’s a case where patience really is a virtue. Waiting on the Lord for His timing is always a personal strength, knowledge, and wisdom builder. When that doesn’t happen, it means the servant now believes they’re the master. That’s “The BIG HEAD Explained.”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

Even at this age I still have a temptation to get “The BIG HEAD!” This AM I lay all arrogance on Your altar again. Help me KNOW my place. Amen
