S. O. A. P.
Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Job 8:21
He will yet fill your mouth with laughter and your lips with shouts of joy.
O-bservation:
These are the words that one of Job’s friends, Bildad, gave him when he was at the very lowest part of his life. Job was in a hopeless state after having everything he owned destroyed in one day, along with his ten children, who were all tragically killed. With all hope completely lost, Bildad told Job that God does not reject the one who is blameless and that one day, he (Job) would be filled with laughter and shouts of joy again.
A-pplication:
What do you do when you have come to a place in your life where all semblance of hope is gone? If you are a firm believer in Jesus, you wait for a word from the Lord to come. Once it happens, and I believe it will, then “Run To Your Future.” Don’t give credence to the dark side ever! As a believer, there’s always hope. Whenever I’m down, I mean really down; I wait for the word of the Lord to come to me. It may come to me from a friend or from a message I’m hearing someone preach. It may come in a vision, or a dream, or a passage of scripture I’m reading, but it always comes. When it does, it’s a word concerning your future, and when you hear it, “Run To Your Future!”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
This AM, I feel, more than ever, the need to wait for your word concerning my situation. Because of what I’m going through, only you can give me the hope I need. When I hear your word, I will “Run To My Future!” Amen
