No One Lost

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

2 Peter 3:9

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

O-bservation:

This is an amazing passage of scripture because it shows the heart of God in such a special way. In the previous chapter, St. Peter had reminded the reader of the wrath of God in history, when whole nations and people groups disobeyed and how His destruction was evident to all. Yet here He says the true heart of God is that in the end, the Lord wants, “No One Lost!”

A-pplication:

THAT’S RIGHT!! “No One Lost” is the reason Jesus came. Jesus said He had come to “Seek and to save those who were lost.” You may be thinking, “Well, I don’t think that’s what’s being said here.” But look with me again. Peter said God is not willing that any would perish (be lost, go to a Christless eternity) but that all may come to repentance (be found and go to heaven instead of being lost)! It’s one thing to be lost in the woods at night and hear the wolves howling. It’s an entirely different thing to be lost for eternity. That’s why, as I write this AM, I’m grateful to say that we serve a God who is bent on finding and rescuing us and making sure at the end of the day there will be “No One Lost!”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

I’m so thankful that You searched for me until You found me. You weren’t the one lost. I was. Thank you! Amen
