Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

1 Thessalonians 2:8

So we cared for you. Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well.

O-bservation:

St. Paul was addressing the young church which he had planted in Thessalonica, and he told them, “When we came and introduced the gospel to you for the first time, it was my honor also to introduce, “My Life As Well.” Paul was saying it was important that all of us show the people what a follower of Jesus looks like every day.

A-pplication:

Those who preach the gospel in my nation are quite numerous. I’m sure it’s true everywhere when you consider that at the present time, approximately a third of the world claims to follow Christ. But just because someone hears me preach doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re convinced. I think they would also like to see me and every other preacher live it out. In other words, what does a Christ Follower look like every day? I’m not speaking here of physical appearance and what a person wears. No! Rather I’m speaking of how that person lives. Does their life reflect the teaching of Jesus Christ? Do they love? How do they respond to negative happenings? Do they live like Jesus taught? That’s a growing issue both here and around the world. Is a true believer like Jesus, or are they a Christian in name only? With God’s help, I’ll preach the good news for folks to hear, but I will also demonstrate with “My Life As Well.”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

This AM, help me leave my house and live the gospel as well as I preach the gospel. Help me be a good representative of you with the way I live! Amen
