Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Psalm 85:10
Love and faithfulness meet together; righteousness and Peace kiss each other.

O-bservation:

Here the Psalmist joins four choices together. He said that LOVE and FAITHFULNESS must stay together, and when they do, RIGHTEOUSNESS and PEACE will kiss each other. When these four character choices operate in people’s lives, victory is assured. With all of the strife and war and hatred and calling each other out, it’s fair to say, “It’s Time To Start Kissing Again!”

A-pplication:

Go on a real quick thought journey with me. It’s one thing to choose love. But many people choose love initially, yet in time become unfaithful to the love they chose. So love is nothing if faithfulness is not the long-term decision as well. Then we know that righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people. The Bible tells us that. Right living produces PEACE. But when Righteousness leaves its biblical foundation and unites with a political persuasion as its foundation for righteousness, what was Peace, quickly turns to war among former brothers and sisters. That means no kissing at all. Today the Word is offering us a solution to all the angst. Let’s match Love with Faithfulness long-term and keep Righteousness anchored in God’s Word, which will provide us all with the Peace we so long for. When that happens, people will say, “Its Time To Start Kissing Again!”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

I choose warmth over cold. I choose to kiss instead of a curse. Help me to keep choosing Love and Faithfulness and Righteousness and Peace. Amen
