S-cripture:

Matthew 21:11
The crowds answered, “This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee.”

O-bservation:

When Jesus arrived in Jerusalem riding on a donkey, people threw palm branches at His feet and cried Hosannah. Many wondered who He was, but the city people said, “This is the famous prophet Jesus from the small town of Nazareth.”

A-pplication:

At the beginning of Jesus of Nazareth’s ministry, some questioned..” Can anything good could come out of Nazareth?” The truth is that Nazareth was a small country town about 40 miles from the “Sea of Galilee.” Certainly, no one of high scholarship came from there, and by in large, it was somewhat looked down upon by the big city people of Jerusalem. However, the big city was conquered in the end by the “King of Kings,” who started as a small-town country boy. Never let anyone challenge your background when God has laid His hand upon you. Most of God’s great leaders started small and finished large. Remember, “It’s Not How You Start, But How You Finish.”

Dear Jesus,
This AM I’m so thankful for my Christian upbringing. Help me finish strong with You at the helm of my life. Amen
