Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Jeremiah 30:24
The fierce anger of the Lord will not turn back until he fully accomplishes the purposes of his heart. In days to come you will understand this.
O-bservation:
Several chapters earlier, false prophets had said that the Babylonian captivity of Israel would end quickly. That was a lie. Here the Lord says things aren’t going to go the way you think they will, but “In Time You Will Understand.”
A-pplication:
How many times have you believed something was going to turn out the way you wanted, only to find that the exact opposite happened? It certainly has happened to me. One of the many reasons why I’m not God is because I’m small and my view of a situation at hand is SO limited! God has an unlimited view of each move we make and the ramifications of that move. When we pray a prayer it’s with limited understanding, and in answering that prayer God first knows of all the other individuals affected by His answer on our behalf. The wonderful thing about prayers that aren’t answered the way we want them to be is that God tells us, “In Time You Will Understand.”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
Instead of demanding my own way this AM, I’m going to trust that in time I will understand. Amen
