Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Romans 12:10
Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.

O-bservation:

It was the Apostle Paul’s great desire that every true believer would be a person of Honor. Not so much that we would be honored, but that we would HONOR others above ourselves.

A-pplication:

One of the greatest threats to a “Follower of Jesus,” is their desire to be honored by others. If that doesn’t happen, I’ve seen some folks become very cynical. It’s easy to look down on others if pride and bitterness have taken root in our souls. But there is a directive in this passage that must not go unnoticed. Paul says, “BE” devoted to one another in love. Pride and bitterness, the roots of cynicism, are a direct result of FEAR. Perfect love throws all fear out of one’s life. “BE” means action. Paul said, “BE” devoted in love to one another!” If we act on this command, then HONOR will roll out of us! So then, as believers, “Honor Is Our Calling.”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,
As I read this passage this AM, it is my desire to be a man of HONOR. Help me Honor others above myself. I know it is my Calling. Amen
