S-cripture:

Jeremiah 17:9

The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?

O-bservation:

As the Lord looked down on the sin of His people, Judah, He talked about the heart of man being so deceitful that few can even begin to understand it.

A-pplication:

As “Followers Of Jesus,” our daily prayer of thanksgiving should always be, “But for the grace of God there go I!” The brokenness of people around the world, and even in our own back yard, is beyond human cure. As a believer I hear a “Heart Broke Sound,” as the song goes, emanating from people’s lives every day. It’s like the old commercial on TV with the senior lady calling, “I’ve fallen and I can’t get up!” People are calling for help, “My heart is broken and I don’t know how to repair it!” You and I who follow Jesus know that He is the answer. Only Jesus can fix that “Heart Broke Sound.”

Dear Jesus,

Oh how I thank You this AM for repairing my broken heart! Amen
