S. O. A. P.
Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Acts 23:24
Provide horses for Paul so that he may be taken safely to Governor Felix.
O-bservation:
Forty men had conspired to kill Paul, the Apostle. His sister’s son got wind of the plot and came to speak with the commander of the prison. The commander told the boy, “Tell no one that you have told me this.” At that point, the commander ordered 470 soldiers to take Paul on horses to Caesarea at nine pm so that Paul could meet with Governor Felix. This took place because “God’s Protection Always Wins!”
A-pplication:
Can you imagine this defenseless prophet of God facing certain death being so cared for by the Almighty? Here is a wicked group of men wanting to do away with Paul. A young boy secretly hears their plot against his uncle. The young boy then is ushered in to speak to the commander of the prison, who in turn sends 470 soldiers from Rome with the prophet himself riding on a horse in the night to Caesarea. Once there safely, he was able to give his defense before King Agrippa! Church, “God’s Protection Always Wins!” I feel as though you may be in some kind of trouble this AM. Please don’t worry. Stop and lay it at the feet of Jesus. Do that now. He will take it from here. Why? Because “God’s Protection Always Wins!
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
This AM, I will lay this at Your feet. I have no other recourse, and that’s a good thing because You’re all I really need. And through the years, I’ve learned more than once that “God’s Protection Always Wins!” Amen
