Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

1 Corinthians 1:25
For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.

O-bservation:

St Paul quickly put the disparity between what we as humans think is wisdom and strength. He compares the wisdom of man with the foolishness of God. He said our wisdom in God’s mind is sheer foolishness. Then he said what we call strength is complete weakness in God’s understanding. Yet, for the most part, we continue to depend upon our own strength and wisdom.

A-pplication:

Why is the world experiencing such havoc on every side as I write today? It would appear that we are operating on “Foolishness And Weakness!” That’s right! When you consider that the Christian faith believes that God created the universe, it should be natural that we turn all of our wisdom and strength over to him. However, for some reason, we keep pulling the attention back on ourselves, and that’s where “Foolishness And Weakness,” set in. I can’t speak for the world, but I can speak for myself. Today I’m letting my “Foolishness And Weakness” go in lieu of my God’s “Strength And Wisdom!”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

I’m so grateful that I am on your side this AM, which puts me on the side of Strength And Wisdom. I’ll stay there as long as I live. I’ve come to the place where I don’t have time for “Foolishness And Weakness,” ever! Amen
