Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Romans 13:1

Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.

O-bservation:

The great apostle promotes that “All Authority Is Established By God.” In other words, the most infamous authorities in world history did not surprise the Lord, neither did they sneak into their positions. God knew it, and He allowed it for purposes that even to this day, many do not understand. Even so, “All Authority Is Established By God.”

A-pplication:

This is a very, very difficult pill for many to swallow. I’ve heard some of the most bizarre teachings on this passage as to why this is not what was meant by Apostle Paul when he said, “All Authority Is Established By God.” Yet, it’s true. How could God be infinite in His power, His knowledge, and His reach if any leader takes Him by surprise? Has God ever once, in all of history, thrown His hands up to say, “I had no idea that was going to happen?” No. Never! God is all-knowing! There is nothing that surprises Him. Yes, some things sadden Him, but nothing that catches Him by surprise. He has a plan. He wants us in His plan, but it’s for sure that even if we reject it, His plan will be in place 24/7, whether we’re in it or not. How many times have I said in these daily devotionals that “God is God all by Himself.?” So instead of kicking against this fact, it’s wiser to embrace this fact and shout it from the mountain tops that “All Authority Is Established By God.”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

This AM, I’m so grateful that You are my all-knowing, all-powerful, all-everywhere at the same time Savior. I’m blessed to be a part of Your kingdom. I want to follow Your direction for my life wherever You lead me. Amen
