Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Malachi 4:6
“He will turn the hearts of the parents to their children, and the hearts of the children to their parents; or else I will come and strike the land with total destruction.”
O-bservation:
Malachi was the last prophet to prophesy in the Old Testament. Malachi made his prophecies somewhere around BC 460. We know his prophecies occurred just a bit after Ezra and Nehemiah had done their work for the Lord. Even though we know that Israel experienced revival to a degree during the time of Ezra and Nehemiah, it wasn’t complete, and we see Malachi’s warning. He said if there isn’t “A Revival Of The Family” soon, destruction is coming.
A-pplication:
In many ways, the revival Malachi was speaking about never came about. After this prophecy was made, there were 400 years of silence from God in heaven to the people on earth. I’m telling you, that sounds like complete destruction to me. The next time we hear the Lord speak in Scripture, it’s through an angel to Mary. Today, once again, the Lord is moving throughout the globe to see if young people will love their parents and if parents will love their children as they should. The more we see families breaking apart, the more one feels that destruction is waiting at the door. So join me in prayer today and never stop asking that we would see “A Revival Of The Family.”
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
This AM, I’m moved with compassion to pray and seek Your face as never before for “A Revival Of The Family.” I remember as a young man during the days of the Jesus Movement when thousands and thousands of young adults came to Christ and families were healed. Please, Lord, do it again! Amen
