Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Deuteronomy 30:19

This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live.

O-bservation:

Jehovah speaks to the people of Israel through his servant Moses and tells them they have “A BIG Decision” to make. God said, “You have two choices. They are Life and Death, Blessing and Curses.” God said, “Choose life so that you and your children may have a wonderful life.”

A-pplication:

This seems like a no-brainer on the surface. If you walk up to someone on the street with a microphone and say, “What do you want, life or death?” Or, “What do you want, blessing or cursing? Most people would respond by saying, “Seriously?” Automatically, about nine out of ten people would say they want life and blessing if they have a choice. Now that’s what people say, but that’s not usually what they live out. They live out curses and death on a fairly regular basis. Why? Because many people don’t sit down and analyze this “A BIG Decision.” When you begin to live it out, often cursing and death happen quicker and easier than living and blessing others. So today, it really is “A BIG Decision!” What will you choose? I hope it’s Life and Blessing.

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

Even though I know life and blessing is the obvious choice, the enemy of my life, the devil, often hits me when I’m down, and all of a sudden, I have “A Bid Decision “to make. Help me always to choose living and blessing others around me. Amen
