Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Isaiah 19:2

I will stir up Egyptian against Egyptian—brother will fight against brother, neighbor against neighbor, city against city, kingdom against kingdom.

O-bservation:

Here is still another nation, Egypt, that had so sinned against God that He was against them. Through the great prophet Isaiah, He said that He was getting ready to stir things up between Egyptians in general, and then brothers, and then neighbors, and then cities, and finally kingdoms. Yes, the Lord Himself would stir up enmity against the people of the same nation, and indeed He did.

A-pplication:

As I read these sad prophecies this AM, about people who were against the love of God and how He was forced to stir things about among them, I thought to myself, “Why can’t we pray that God would stir things up in all of us to pursue righteousness?” I believe we can. I believe that for those family members who are fighting right now, we can pray that God will stir them up to relent and love each other again. I believe for that situation at work that makes you not want to leave the house this AM, we can pray that God will stir the hearts of the people at work, and revival could fall at the very place you dread to go. Why not? Whatever it is that the devil is stirring up today, why not cry out to God right now and, “Pray He’ll Stir Things Up For You!”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

This AM, I realize that my friend who reads this post needs You to stir things up on their behalf. You know their cry right now. I ask that You hear our prayer of agreement and Stir Things Up for my friend today! Amen
