It’s Not Your Time Yet

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

John 11:4
When he heard this, Jesus said, “This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God’s glory so that God’s Son may be glorified through it.”

O-bservation:

Lazarus and his two sisters, Mary and Martha, were very dear friends of Jesus. While out of town, Jesus received word from the sisters that Lazarus was so sick that death was imminent. When Jesus heard it, he said to his disciples, “This sickness will not end in death.” Jesus actually stayed two days longer in the place where he was ministering. A point came where Jesus knew that Lazarus had died, but he informed his disciples that Lazarus was just sleeping. Lazarus had actually been dead and in the tomb for four days when Jesus and the disciples arrived. Jesus went into the tomb and cried, “Lazarus come out!” Immediately Lazarus came out with his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, raised from the dead.

A-pplication:

The first thing I want to say about this story is that Jesus knows what lies ahead for you and for me. Secondly, Jesus doesn’t look at life and death the same way as you and I do. His time frame is much different than ours. Just because you and I may be thinking something doesn’t mean that Jesus is. His thoughts are higher than our thoughts, and he is never worried. Where would you and I be without the Lord? As I read this passage this AM, I felt drawn to make this my special scripture today. Maybe someone of you is facing death, as I write, and you need a word from the Lord today. Well, here it is….”It’s Not Your Time Yet!” Believe God today for more!

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

I love you this morning, dear Lord. I’m grateful for your healing virtue in my own life. Now I’m praying for my friend. Let them know today with confidence that. It’s not your time yet!” Amen
