Growing In The Knowledge Of God

S. O. A. P.

Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

Colossians 1:10
So that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God.

O-bservation:

These were some of the words that St Paul wrote to the young church at Colossae, which was located in the nation of Turkey. He told them that ever since he and his associates had heard of them, they had been praying that they would be filled with the knowledge of God’s will so that they would be able to live a life worthy of the Lord and to please him in every way. He wanted them to bear fruit in everything they did, and most of all, he wanted them to be people who were continuously “Growing In The Knowledge Of God.”

A-pplication:

What is it that you will spend your time doing today? Oh, I know we must work in order to provide for our families or at least to provide for ourselves. And of course, I know that we need to be able to please the people we work for. And yes, if you have a family, there are numerous responsibilities there as well. Oh, and I forgot, we all need time to rest and reboot to do it all again tomorrow, but let me ask you this. Are you “Growing In The Knowledge Of God?” That’s right, is there a space in your day, like today, that you have laid aside specifically so that you are truly, “Growing In The Knowledge Of God?” Here’s the truth. If Jesus isn’t growing in you, you really aren’t growing at all. In fact, you are dying. I know, that you already know, that has to change. Why not begin today, “Growing In The Knowledge Of God.”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

Please, once again today, help me to spend time with you, so that I can grow, in the knowledge of You! Amen
