Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Genesis 6:8
But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord.
O-bservation:
Early on in the book of Genesis, the Lord regretted that He had even made man because of man’s sin. In fact, the Lord destroyed the entire human race by way of a flood, save for Noah and his family. Why? Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord.
A-pplication:
The Bible tells us that the eyes of the Lord run throughout the whole earth to find those whose hearts are fully committed to Him. Concerning Noah, scripture says that he was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God. Surely the Lord’s eyes were on this beloved servant. It is possible to so fully serve the Lord, so that our service literally finds the favor of God. It’s not as if we love Jesus to get something, but it’s true that “Finding Favor With God,” is a by-product of completely yielding to His will.
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
Once again, this AM, let me start off by saying, “I’m Yours! Completely and forever I yield myself to Your will and way.” Amen
