Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!

S-cripture:

1 Corinthians 12:7
Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.

O-bservation:

This word manifestation means to be made known. Or you could say that something that was once an abstract is now a reality. So however you want to approach the manifestation of the Spirit of God through the specific gifts He has given us, it must be clear that “Everyone Should Benefit” from the manifestation of the Spirit.

A-pplication:

When our four sons were small, they knew that whatever gifts they received for birthdays or holidays would, in time, be shared by all. We weren’t broke, but there wasn’t the opportunity for exclusivity among the boys’ things. They all shared the gifts that mom and dad gave them. Heaven is surely not on a limited budget, and yet the Gifts of the Spirit are definitely meant to elevate the common good. We can’t say I’ll take this spiritual gift, but I don’t ever want to operate in this spiritual gift over here. NO! The manifestation of God’s gifts is to edify us all and to freely operate with each gift when needed. So when it comes to the gifts of the Spirit, there will be no exclusivity because “Everyone Should Benefit!”

P-rayer:

Dear Jesus,

Thank you this AM that you have given us the reality of your spiritual gifts for our common good. Thank you that because of your spiritual gifts, we are all elevated to greater opportunities on this side of heaven. Amen
