Here’s Your 90 second AM Devotional!
S-cripture:
Jeremiah 27:6
Now I will give all your countries into the hands of my servant Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; I will make even the wild animals subject to him.
O-bservation:
Even before the heathen nations and the people of God, Israel and Judah, who had turned their backs on God, had come under the rule of Nebuchadnezzar, God referred to this godless king as His servant. Thus, everything Jeremiah prophesied came to pass. Many years later, Nebuchadnezzar, after being humbled by Almighty God, became a follower of God. This proves that “Even The Ungodly Serve The Purposes Of God!”
A-pplication:
Have you ever considered that the boss at work who has been making your life a living hell on earth could actually be serving the purposes of God in your life? What about that wayward son who is wreaking havoc in the family? Have you noticed yourself seeking the Lord more than you have in years? For the child of God and even the follower of Jesus who may have lost their way, God will use severe testing to point us in His direction in a greater way. The trials of Judah, under the tremendous suffering of King Nebuchadnezzar, in time humbled the people and brought them back to a closer walk with the Lord. As long as I live, I will push back on any hardship I face. Yet, I’ve learned in my life that all the pain I face pushes me towards the Lord. In fact, “Even The Ungodly Serve The Purposes Of God” at times in my life.
P-rayer:
Dear Jesus,
This AM, I want You to say that I am willing for you to bring me closer to You whatever the cost. Lord, I need You now more than ever! Amen
